Conversion of a Renault Trafic 3 L2H1 with an Exokit kit by Homad Van
At Exokit, we love seeing our furniture integrated into complete projects like this one, carried out by the Homad Van workshop in Saint-Brieuc. This Renault Trafic 3 L2H1 has been transformed into a living space that is both warm, technical and completely autonomous – with no plumbing on board.
Natural insulation for all-season comfort
The conversion started with careful and 100% natural insulation:
- Sprayed cork on walls, ceiling and wheel arches for its thermal and acoustic properties
- Sheep wool in all technical cavities
- Extruded polystyrene (20 mm) under the floor to block thermal bridges
In areas where wood cladding was not possible, grey felt was used to perfectly follow the vehicle's curves (pillars, wheel arches, etc.), ensuring a clean and continuous finish.
Sober and warm wood cladding
The interior of the van was entirely clad in quality plywood: floor, side walls and ceiling, all carefully installed by Homad. Thanks to the original windows, the whole space exudes light and serenity.
Custom Exokit furniture: sofa bed + side unit
The heart of this conversion is our Exokit 120 cm click-clack sofa bed, in the classic version. It allows for a quick transition from a living area to a comfortable sleeping space.
A left side unit completes the configuration, with integrated low and high storage. As is often the case at Exokit, the modules were designed using Egger Vicenza Oak panels, for a natural and modern look.
The table and worktop are made of birch plywood, oiled with an ebony stain for a contrasting, robust and elegant finish.
Electrical autonomy with EcoFlow Delta
With no onboard water system, this van is 100% focused on electrical autonomy:
- EcoFlow Delta battery, compact and powerful
- Alternator charging, discreetly installed behind the driver's seat
This system powers everything needed: lighting, fridge, laptop and phone charging, without noise or exhaust fumes.
A 100% Breton, functional and inspiring project
This conversion was entirely designed and manufactured in the Côtes-d'Armor region. The photos were taken at Le Légué port, a few hundred meters from our shared workshop with Homad.
A true Breton van, designed for a year-round nomadic life, with beautiful wood finishes, autonomous equipment, and our Exokit furniture at the heart of the van.
