What is an Exokit installer?

An Exokit installer is an independent vehicle conversion professional who installs, and often resells, the furniture kits made by Exokit in Saint-Brieuc. This is not a franchise: each installer keeps their own business, labour rates and customers. Most are coachbuilders and van converters (French NAF code 2920Z), commercial vehicle dealerships, van rental companies and accessory specialists.

Going through a network installer saves you the assembly work, ensures the furniture is assembled according to the instructions, and lets you have the insulation, electrics and plumbing, which are not part of the kits, done in the same place.

Exokit Showroom Partner or dealer-installer: what's the difference?

All the professionals in the directory sell and install the same furniture, with the same assembly instructions. The difference lies in what you will find on site.

• Exokit Showroom Partner: you can see an Exokit unit for real, in a showroom, a demonstration vehicle or a rental vehicle. You will also find fabric and wood samples, our catalogues, and advice from a professional who works with our kits every day.
• Dealer-installer: orders and installs our furniture for their customers, without a unit on permanent display.

Vehicles covered by the network

Exokit ranges are modelled on specific vehicles, not on average dimensions. They fall into three formats.

• Compact: Volkswagen Caddy and Volkswagen ID. Buzz, with the camping boxes.
• Van: Renault Trafic 3 and its equivalents Nissan NV300, Nissan Primastar, Opel Vivaro B and Fiat Talento 2; Citroën Jumpy, Peugeot Expert, Toyota Proace, Opel Vivaro 3 and Fiat Scudo (K0 platform); Volkswagen Transporter T5, T6 and T7; Ford Transit Custom; Mercedes Vito W447.
• Large van: Fiat Ducato, Citroën Jumper and Peugeot Boxer in L2H2.

Professional installation or self-assembly?

Exokit kits are designed to be assembled by a careful DIYer: the parts arrive cut, drilled and sanded, with assembly instructions. Using an installer still makes sense in three cases: you have neither a workshop nor tools, you want the same provider to handle insulation and electrics, or you are aiming for VASP motorhome type-approval (France), which requires a professional's involvement.
