Opel Vivaro B XL 2025 U-shaped bench kit: Vicenza oak finish, delivered assembled and installed by Homad
Some van conversions depart from the usual scheme. This one is the perfect illustration. This project was born from a customer order placed directly with the Opel Cobredia dealership in Yffiniac, near Saint-Brieuc. The customer wanted an Opel Vivaro B XL 2025 in a 5-seater crew cab version, metallic black, delivered turnkey with its conversion already installed. The Cobredia dealership, which systematically offers our modular furniture kits for vans as an option during utility vehicle sales, contacted Exokit to organize the entire process. The result: a new vehicle fresh from the dealership with an immediately operational interior.
An unusually smooth order process: dealership, manufacturer, installer
The journey of this project is worth a closer look. The customer ordered their Opel Vivaro B XL from the Opel Cobredia dealership in Yffiniac, in Côtes-d'Armor. During the ordering phase, the salesperson presented our range of modular furniture kits for vans as a conversion option. The customer made their choice from the available configurations, and then we took over for manufacturing.
Once the U-shaped bench kit for Opel Vivaro B XL was manufactured and assembled in our workshops in Brittany, we delivered it already assembled to our partner Homad, in Saint-Brieuc. Julien and his team then installed it in the new vehicle, before its final delivery to the customer. This type of coordination between dealership, manufacturer, and local installer is still rare, but it works remarkably well when each player masters their role.

An Opel Vivaro B XL in 5-seater crew cab version
The Opel Vivaro B XL in the 5-seater crew cab version is a special vehicle. Unlike classic utility versions with a cabin-cargo separation, this configuration offers a single compartment with a second-row rear bench seat, which allows for the transport of five people while retaining a generous rear volume for the conversion.
This 2025 model, metallic black, was already equipped with a non-slip wooden floor installed at the factory or by the dealership before delivery. An important detail: this existing floor allowed us to deliver the Exokit floor for Opel Vivaro as a complementary option without duplication, and to focus on the lining and furniture.
The choice of a Vicenza oak laminate finish
For the entire structure of the U-shaped bench kit, the customer chose a Vicenza oak laminate plywood finish. This material is an interesting alternative to traditional oiled plywood: it offers a surface resistant to scratches, stains, and humidity, while retaining a warm visual appearance reminiscent of natural wood.
Vicenza oak laminate is particularly suitable for intensive use or for families with children, where furniture is frequently subjected to stress. It can be cleaned with a simple wipe, requires no special maintenance, and retains its original appearance over time. A pragmatic finish, which sacrifices nothing to aesthetics.
Selected options: exterior drawers and black table
The customer also chose to add the two exterior drawers (left and right) to their U-shaped bench kit. These drawers, accessible from outside the vehicle, allow equipment to be stored without having to open the rear doors or search inside. This is a significant time-saver on a daily basis, especially for storing tools, cables, or equipment that needs to remain quickly accessible.
The table, meanwhile, was treated with a black oiled finish, creating a sharp contrast with the Vicenza oak of the main structure. This visual choice clearly delineates the dining area and adds a contemporary touch to the whole, without weighing down the space.
Side linings and doors in Flemish grey oiled plywood
To line the interior sides and rear doors of the vehicle, the customer opted for a Flemish grey oiled plywood finish. This soft, matte grey blends naturally with the exterior black bodywork and the Vicenza oak of the bench, while bringing soft light to the interior.
The side linings for Opel Vivaro were machined to fit the vehicle's contours without approximate cuts. Installed by Homad, they neatly close off the space and offer a homogeneous finish along the entire length of the interior.
Anthracite grey fabric cushions for visual consistency
The cushions for the U-shaped bench were chosen in anthracite grey fabric, a neutral shade that blends well with the Flemish grey of the linings and the black of the table. This sober choice avoids overly strong contrasts and maintains a calming atmosphere in the cabin, while remaining easy to maintain.
The overall result is a coherent interior, where each shade finds its place without trying to dominate the others. A visual balance that makes the space comfortable for everyday use, without a feeling of monotony in the long term.
A kit delivered assembled, installed by Homad in Saint-Brieuc
What distinguishes this project is the logistics implemented to deliver a turnkey vehicle to the customer. The Opel Vivaro B XL U-shaped bench kit was entirely assembled in our Exokit workshops, then delivered complete to the Homad workshop. Julien and his team then proceeded with the installation in the new vehicle, in direct coordination with the Cobredia dealership.
This approach guarantees the end customer a vehicle that is immediately usable, without having to organize the furniture installation themselves or deal with multiple contacts. Everything is settled before delivery. This is exactly the type of service made possible by close collaboration between a car dealership, a van furniture kit manufacturer, and a trusted local installer.
When the car dealership becomes a conversion prescriber
This project illustrates a model that is beginning to develop: the car dealership no longer simply sells a bare vehicle; it directly offers a complete and professional van conversion from the ordering phase. For the customer, this is a considerable time-saver and a guarantee of consistency. For the dealership, it is a strong commercial added value that differentiates it from simply selling a utility vehicle.
