Today, we're heading to Normandy, where our partner Sun Van Normandie has transformed a Volkswagen T6 L1H1 into a custom-made, functional, and aesthetically pleasing van. This complete conversion highlights our van furniture kit, perfectly integrated into a vehicle designed for long, comfortable journeys.

A U-shaped bench to optimize living space

The core of this conversion is the installation of our U-shaped bench, an intelligent solution that maximizes interior space. This configuration can accommodate several people during the day and easily converts into a bed at night. It also offers numerous concealed storage options, accessible without tools.

Exokit furniture in sage green laminated plywood

The furniture was entirely made from our laminated birch plywood, here in a sage green shade, for a soft and contemporary ambiance. The kit includes:

A right side cabinet with two columns, perfectly adapted to the dimensions of the T6 L1H1
A rounded storage tray at the side door
A multi-functional rear column, including space for a refrigerator and composting toilet

Everything was completed with an oiled birch table and worktop, with a “Hint of White” finish, which reveals the natural wood grain while providing clarity and protection.

Custom cushions and meticulous finishes

Yakavan Normandie assisted its client in choosing charcoal grey fabric cushions, creating an elegant contrast with the sage green surfaces. The whole fits perfectly into a cabin with a modern, practical, and minimalist ambiance.

A complete, turnkey conversion

In addition to the Exokit furniture, this Volkswagen T6 L1H1 benefited from a complete A to Z conversion, including:

Installation of a pop-top roof to gain height and sleeping space
Full thermal and acoustic insulation
Installation of a floor and side panels
Windows, built-in refrigerator, electricity, stationary heating, etc.
