Layout of a Mercedes Vito L3 with Exokit click-clack bench seat and transverse unit
On this extended version of the 2020 Mercedes Vito L3, the Exokit workshop installed a simple, modular, and 100% functional setup. The goal? To retain maximum cargo space while adding a truly comfortable sleeping area for weekends or road trips.
A 140 cm clic-clac bench: generous sleeping and optimized space
The heart of the conversion is an Exokit clic-clac bench measuring 140 cm wide by 180 cm long. This is our “clic-clac surf” version, designed with specific clearance under the seat, allowing for the storage of surfboards or long equipment.
This bench offers two major advantages:
- Quick assembly/disassembly: it can be installed or removed in seconds without tools.
- Total modularity: by removing it, 3/4 of the vehicle's rear space is immediately freed up, ideal for utilitarian use during the week.
A discreet and efficient transverse cabinet
Behind the front seats, we integrated a low transverse cabinet, placed against the partition wall. It provides additional storage space without hindering access or visibility. It can accommodate essential accessories: water tank, portable battery, dishes, outdoor equipment, etc.
Natural and resistant materials
The entire conversion was made from oiled birch plywood, with a "Hint of White" linseed oil finish. This shade is ideal for preserving the natural look of the wood, without yellowing, while durably protecting the surfaces.
The cushions, meanwhile, are made of removable gray fabric, machine washable, designed to withstand daily use and outdoor conditions.
A minimalist, modular, and durable conversion
This converted Mercedes Vito perfectly embodies the Exokit DNA: aesthetic, practical, and removable kit furniture, designed for those who want a habitable van without compromising professional or family use.
