Volkswagen T6 L1H1 fully converted by Bulli Custom with our Exokit furniture
At Exokit, we design furniture kits to transform every van into a unique, functional, and cozy space. Today, we're proud to share one of our latest partner projects: a Volkswagen T6 L1H1 fully converted in Montpellier by the Bulli Custom workshop, equipped with our custom furniture.
This project perfectly embodies what we love: a smooth collaboration with passionate craftspeople, meticulous finishes, and a consistent, complete, and durable layout.
A complete conversion, crafted with expertise
The van, a Volkswagen T6 L1H1, was entrusted to the expert hands of the Bulli Custom team, who carried out a high-end, full conversion:

Thermal and sound insulation

Water system and plumbing

Pop-top roof for optimal standing height
We worked directly with their team to provide an Exokit furniture kit perfectly adapted to the vehicle, which Bulli Custom then customized and integrated with precision.
Our Exokit furniture at the heart of the layout
The layout is based on a custom configuration, designed to optimize living space within a compact footprint:

🛋️ A U-shaped bench at the front of the vehicle, convertible into a double bed

📦 A right side unit, comprising:

two storage columns

a rounded storage tray next to the side door

🧊 A column of high units at the rear left, integrating:

a drawer refrigerator, ideal for toiletries

a cupboard door designed to accommodate a dry toilet

Each element was cut with our CNC machines (digital cutting) from our 15mm birch plywood, then assembled and adjusted in the Bulli Customs workshop.
Elegant, natural, and contrasting finishes
This project also demonstrates what the customization of our kits allows.

Our furniture was hand-oiled with a "Hint of White" tint, which slightly brightens the birch while preserving its natural grain.

The table and worktop, meanwhile, were stained in "golden oak", providing a warm and refined contrast.
This interplay of materials and tones gives the van a soft and modern ambiance, without sacrificing robustness.
Custom cushions, premium comfort
To complete the ensemble, Bulli Custom manufactured a set of custom cushions perfectly adapted to the U-shaped bench.
Sober design, thick fabric, optimized density for a dual sitting/sleeping function: everything has been designed for daily comfort.
