A 2024 Ford Transit Custom converted for weekend getaways — HOMAD x Exokit
This latest generation Ford Transit Custom L2H1, identical in chassis to the brand new 2025 Volkswagen Transporter T7, has been entirely converted by our partner workshop HOMAD, in Saint-Brieuc. The result: a sleek, functional van perfectly suited for nature weekends or extended road trips.
A new and modern base, optimized for vanlife
The vehicle is a white Ford Transit Custom, in its L2H1 version. Known for its versatility, this new generation van now shares its technical base with the VW Transporter T7 — making it an ideal platform for a quality conversion.
Natural insulation, wood cladding and electrical autonomy
The conversion begins with complete thermal and acoustic insulation based on sprayed cork and sheep's wool, for comfort in all seasons. The walls were then covered with our custom-made Exokit wood panels, installed by the HOMAD team.
An EcoFlow River Pro 2 battery powers the entire electrical system: LED lights, refrigerator, water pump, etc. A simple, reliable solution that can be easily recharged from the mains or via a solar panel.
An Exokit furniture kit, oiled ebony finish
For the interior layout, HOMAD integrated our left side cabinet with its "surf" click-clack bench seat, much appreciated for its sleeping comfort and modularity.
The plywood finish is oiled ebony tinted (black), which offers a warm and modern atmosphere inside the van. In contrast, the table and worktop have a light oak finish for a result that is both elegant and practical.
Functional and ready to go
The layout also includes:
- A sink with double jerrycan (fresh water / grey water)
- A compression refrigerator
- LED lights and USB sockets
- Side windows for great luminosity
- Integrated storage for daily accessories

This Ford Transit Custom 2024 converted by HOMAD demonstrates once again that it is possible to create an ultra-functional van, without overloading the space. Ideal for couples or solo adventurers, it carries everything needed for several days of autonomy, in complete freedom.
