Complete lining kit for Volkswagen Transporter T5/T6 L1H1: left + right side panels and rear lining in 5 mm poplar plywood. Several parts (front top/bottom + rear). Options: raw/oiled finish, 1 or 2 side doors, tailgate or double door. Fasteners not included.
Our current lead times are 4 to 5 weeks for raw or oiled plywood furniture.
- Raw plywood: must be protected (sanded, varnished, painted, oiled, or other)
- Oiled plywood: can be cleaned with the soft side of a sponge. Oil can be reapplied to splinters. Does not require regular maintenance.
- Laminated plywood: same as usual kitchen furniture (sponge)

VW Transporter T5/T6 L1H1 Linings: the van life benchmark
The Volkswagen Transporter T5 and T6 L1H1 is one of the most popular vans for van life conversions. Its compact but well-proportioned cargo area is perfectly suited for installing wood linings. This kit is cut to the common T5/T6 L1H1 template – compatible with both generations whose interior dimensions are identical.
5 mm Poplar for a neat conversion
5 mm poplar is the natural choice for a converted van: lightweight, stable, and visually warm with an oiled finish. It easily accepts wood screws for attaching furniture, electrical panels, or storage rails. The panels are pre-cut to the exact shapes of the T5/T6 walls – wheel arches, door pillars, roof edge.
Options: door and finish
The T5/T6 L1H1 can have one or two sliding side doors. Please specify your configuration when ordering. Tailgate or double rear door – the kit adapts to both.
Technical questions
Is this kit compatible with T5 and T6? Yes – the interior dimensions of the cargo compartment are identical between T5 and T6 L1H1.
Can I soundproof before installing the linings? Yes – applying acoustic foam to the sheet metal before installing the panels is common practice on the T5/T6.
