- Raw plywood: must be protected (sanded, varnished, painted, oiled, or other)
- Oiled plywood: can be cleaned with the soft side of a sponge. Oil can be reapplied to splinters. Does not require regular maintenance.
- Laminated plywood: same as usual kitchen furniture (sponge)

This Exokit complete conversion pack is specially designed for the Volkswagen Transporter T5 and T6 L1H1.
It brings together three complementary modules allowing you to create a real living, cooking, and sleeping space in a format optimized for the Transporter.
1. Front U-shaped bench – Classic version 120 × 180 cm
The U-shaped bench transforms the front left of the vehicle into a convivial lounge with a central table.
- Convertible into a 120 × 180 cm bed
- Comb system for quick conversion
- Storage under the seat
- 15 mm birch plywood structure
It constitutes the heart of the conversion, allowing a rapid alternation between day and night areas.
2. Right side unit – Kitchen area
Installed along the right wall, the right side unit offers an ideal basis for a kitchen area.
- 2 columns with full-height doors (704 mm)
- Rounded storage pocket on the sliding door side
- Worktop compatible with sink-hob combinations (CAN FL1401, Dometic MO9722)
This layout allows the integration of a water point and a cooking point compatible with VASP regulations, depending on the installation performed.
3. Rear left column – Storage & fridge
The rear left column utilizes the available height behind the bench.
- Closed base cupboard
- Central space for a 42–50 L refrigerator or dry/chemical toilets
- Upper drawer
- Storage pocket at the top
It significantly increases the vehicle's storage capacity while integrating self-sufficiency equipment.
An optimized layout for the L1H1 format
The entire pack is designed for the Volkswagen Transporter T5/T6 L1H1, with a balanced distribution of volumes:
- Lounge and bed at the front left
- Kitchen along the right wall
- Vertical storage at the rear left
Fixing and assembly
The modules can be fixed:
- to the floor with wood screws,
- into the horizontal reinforcements via self-drilling screws,
- or by threaded inserts for a removable installation.
Assembly only requires a screwdriver. The necessary bits and accessories are provided.
