The long floor of the Transit Custom MK1

The L2H1 version of the Transit Custom MK1 offers a longer load space — and therefore a larger floor area to be covered. This floor is cut to the L2H1 MK1 template in 9mm birch, with a rebate for a perfect join between the two panels.

Rigidity on long format

The 9mm birch remains perfectly rigid along the length of the L2H1 without requiring intermediate support. The rebate ensures a flat surface along the entire length — important for clip-on coverings that require a perfectly flat base.

Threshold linings and insulation

The included threshold linings cover the rear and side door thresholds. The 20mm extruded polystyrene option is available for thermal insulation of the underbody — particularly recommended for converted vans used in winter conditions.

Technical questions

Is this floor compatible with the L1H1 MK1? No — the lengths are different. Each product corresponds to a single length version.

Can furniture be fixed directly into the birch? Yes — 9mm birch holds wood screws well. For heavy loads, a fastening passing through the birch and the metal underbody is preferable.
