Custom ceiling for Ford Transit Custom L2H1 MK1 crew cab version, in 5 mm poplar plywood. Specific cabin cut (partition, uprights, cable passages). 2 parts. Raw or oiled finish.
Our current lead times are 4 to 5 weeks for raw or oiled plywood furniture.
- Raw plywood: must be protected (sanded, varnished, painted, oiled, or other)
- Oiled plywood: can be cleaned with the soft side of a sponge. Oil can be reapplied to splinters. Does not require regular maintenance.
- Laminated plywood: same as usual kitchen furniture (sponge)

MK1 Extended Cab: A Dedicated Cutout
The Ford Transit Custom L2H1 MK1 extended cab version has a cabin area delimited by a bulkhead. This ceiling is cut specifically for this area: the cutout integrates the partition, the side pillars specific to the cab, and the cable passages unique to this configuration.
Material and Lightness
5 mm poplar plywood, delivered in 2 parts. As the profile of the cab area is shorter than the complete van, the panels are more manageable and easier to install alone.
Installation
Insulate the cab area first. Screw into the transverse ribs of the cab area with 3.5×25 mm self-drilling screws. A U-shaped trim profile (aluminum or wood) at the ceiling-bulkhead joint neatly conceals the seam.
Complete Cab Fit-out
This ceiling is designed for the cab area only. The MK1 cab floor, MK1 cab side linings, and the complete MK1 cab pack are available separately for a full fit-out.
Technical Questions
Is this ceiling compatible with the MK1.5 (2018 facelift) cab version? Yes — the dimensions of the cab area did not change during the 2018 facelift.
How do I manage the cable routing between the cab and the cargo area? Plan for a cable gland or a duct at the bulkhead before attaching the ceiling.
