Custom-made ceiling for Ford Transit Custom L2H1 MK2, cut from 5 mm poplar plywood. 2 parts (front + rear) with engraved pre-cuts on the back — ceiling light, cables, partition. Raw or oiled finish.
Our current lead times are 4 to 5 weeks for raw or oiled plywood furniture.
- Raw plywood: must be protected (sanded, varnished, painted, oiled, or other)
- Oiled plywood: can be cleaned with the soft side of a sponge. Oil can be reapplied to splinters. Does not require regular maintenance.
- Laminated plywood: same as usual kitchen furniture (sponge)

Transit Custom L2H1 MK2: New Generation, Large Format
The Ford Transit Custom MK2 (NRN, from 2023) in L2H1 version combines the increased volume of the long version with the redesigned interior of the second generation. This ceiling is cut to the MK2 L2H1 template—different from the MK1, even on the L2 version.
MK2 Specifics
The ribs and reinforcements of the MK2 roof are positioned differently from the MK1. The pre-cuts engraved on the back account for these differences to indicate the correct fastening and integration locations.
Volume and Layout
The L2H1 MK2 version is particularly popular for van life conversions and professional layouts. The 5 mm poplar ceiling allows for generous insulation (30 to 50 mm) without encroaching on the interior usable height.
Finish
Raw version for painting, covering with acoustic fabric or carpet. Oiled version for direct installation with a natural wood finish. The natural oil used complies with the EN 71-3 toy standard.
Technical Questions
How do I distinguish my Transit Custom MK1 from the MK2? The MK2 (NRN) has been produced from the 2024 model year (released late 2023). The exterior appearance changes significantly—redesigned headlights, grille.
Can a sliding window be integrated into this ceiling? No—roof windows are bodywork elements that require a cut in the sheet metal, above the wooden ceiling.
