Custom flooring for Ford Transit Custom L1H1 MK1, made of 9 mm birch plywood. 2 parts with interlocking rebate. Sill liners included. Option: 20 mm extruded polystyrene insulation (total thickness 30 mm).
Our current lead times are 4 to 5 weeks for raw or oiled plywood furniture.
- Raw plywood: must be protected (sanded, varnished, painted, oiled, or other)
- Oiled plywood: can be cleaned with the soft side of a sponge. Oil can be reapplied to splinters. Does not require regular maintenance.
- Laminated plywood: same as usual kitchen furniture (sponge)

Transit Custom MK1: a subfloor well-suited for wooden flooring
The Ford Transit Custom MK1 (2012–2023) has a relatively flat subfloor in the cargo area, which makes it easy to install wooden flooring without shimming. This floor is cut to the exact dimensions of the MK1 L1H1 in 9mm birch plywood — the reference material for utility vehicle flooring.
Rebate and finish
The two panels are joined by a machined rebate: precise joint, flat surface, no gap between the two parts. The included sill liners neatly finish the edges at the side and rear door sills.
Extruded polystyrene option
The 20mm XPS under the Transit Custom floor provides significant thermal insulation — particularly appreciated in vehicles used in all seasons. XPS is impervious to moisture and does not compress under normal loads of a conversion.
Technical questions
Is this floor compatible with the MK1.5 (2018 facelift)? Yes — the subfloor dimensions did not change during the facelift.
Can flooring be laid without glue on birch plywood? Click-lock planks (SPC, LVT) do not require glue and can be installed directly on the flat surface of the birch plywood.
