Volkswagen Transporter T5/T6 L2H1 Floor – 9mm Birch Plywood

Increased surface area, same robustness

The L2H1 version of the Transporter offers a larger interior volume — and therefore a greater floor area to be fitted out. The 9 mm birch is cut to the exact template of the T5/T6 L2H1: the larger surface does not affect rigidity, the 9 mm birch remaining stable over its entire length without intermediate support.

Rebate on the long version

On an L2 floor, the central joint is even more important to finish carefully than on an L1. The machined rebate guarantees a perfectly flat and invisible surface — whereas a simple straight joint can leave a slight hollow or visible deformation under the covering.

Sill liners

Included in the order. On the T5/T6 L2H1 with double sliding doors (2-door version), sill liners are required on both sides — they are included in the kit.

20 mm extruded polystyrene option

In a fitted-out L2 van, the investment in floor insulation is quickly recouped in terms of winter thermal comfort. The 20 mm XPS slips under the two panels without glue or fasteners — its own weight and that of the floor are enough to hold it in place.

Technical questions

Compatible with T5 and T6 in L2 version? Yes — the underbody dimensions are identical between the two generations in L2H1 version.

Which finish do you recommend for intensive use (craftsman, delivery)? Raw birch + industrial glued PVC covering: the most resistant to impact and wear.
