Peugeot Expert M Conversion by Homad: Exokit light oak and ebony kit in Saint-Brieuc

When a partner workshop masters its craft and chooses the right components, the result speaks for itself. This is exactly what this project entrusted to Homad, a Breton installer based in Saint-Brieuc, on a Peugeot Expert M short version, demonstrates. A measured, coherent, and thoughtfully designed layout—with Exokit flat-pack furniture as the project's backbone.

Homad, a partner workshop in Saint-Brieuc

Homad is one of our most active partner workshops in Brittany. Their approach is direct: no fuss, clean execution, assumed technical choices. On this Peugeot Expert M, they took charge of the entire conversion, from insulation to electrical wiring, relying on our range of van flat-pack furniture to structure the interior space.

You can find their complete presentation of this project directly on Homad's blog.

A well-prepared vehicle first and foremost

Before installing anything, Homad took care to thoroughly treat the vehicle's insulation. The chosen protocol combines three complementary materials:

  • Soliège projected cork applied directly to the bodywork, for its thermal and anti-condensation properties
  • Sheep wool filling the cavities, for acoustic and thermal comfort
  • Felt for the interior finish, for a soft atmosphere and effective sound absorption

This natural triptych has become a signature at Homad. It ensures four-season comfort without resorting to synthetic insulation, which aligns with the values we also uphold at Exokit regarding durability and material choice.

The Exokit lining pack for Peugeot Expert M

For the interior lining, Homad opted for our complete lining pack for Peugeot Expert M, available in an oiled light oak finish. This pack includes three elements precisely cut to fit this model:

The addition of these slats to the ceiling is a typical example of what an experienced partner workshop can bring: a simple intervention, inexpensive in terms of time, but which radically changes the perceived quality of the interior. The result evokes a neat cabin much more than a hastily converted utility vehicle.

All these elements are manufactured in Brittany, in our workshop, from marine-grade birch plywood precisely machined to guarantee a perfect fit without rework during installation.

The left side unit: integrated organization and technology

At the heart of the layout, Homad installed our Exokit left side unit for Peugeot Expert M in an oiled light oak finish. This compact unit concentrates the essentials of the on-board living system: storage, electrical system, and refrigeration.

Specifically, Homad integrated:

  • A complete electrical system with battery management, sockets, and LED lighting for true off-grid autonomy
  • A 42-liter compressor refrigerator, carefully housed in the unit to optimize accessibility and ventilation

The modular design of our flat-pack van furniture makes this type of integration natural. The dimensions are designed from the outset to accommodate common equipment, without requiring hazardous cuts or complex adaptations.

The clic-clac bench: the everyday bed

At the rear of the Peugeot Expert M, Homad installed our classic 120 cm clic-clac bench, also in an oiled light oak finish, combined with beige fabric cushions. The result is immediately clear: by day, it's a comfortable seat for reading or working; by night, a few simple movements are enough to unfold a double bed.

This system remains one of our most popular solutions for short formats like the Expert M, precisely because it does not sacrifice nighttime comfort for daytime space. The combination of light oak and beige cushions creates a warm and coherent harmony throughout the interior.

The ebony table and worktop: the detail that makes the difference

Homad made a strong choice for the finish of the table and worktop: an ebony tinted oil, in deliberate contrast to the dominant light oak. This two-tone finish adds character to the layout without making the space feel heavy. It visually highlights the functional areas (kitchen, dining, work) while maintaining the overall coherence of the interior.

This is the kind of decision that costs almost nothing to install but demonstrates a real consideration for the final result. At Exokit, we offer several oil finishes precisely to allow this type of personalization without resorting to complex or expensive materials.

A van conversion designed to last

This Peugeot Expert M converted by Homad perfectly illustrates what an effective collaboration between an experienced workshop and a van furniture kit manufacturer who knows their vehicles can achieve. Each piece fits together, each choice is consistent with the next, and the whole fits into a short format without sacrificing essential comfort.

The vehicle also retains its CTTE utility vehicle homologation, which significantly simplifies administrative procedures while offering an interior that one would not expect to find in a van of this size.
